Great beach town a drive away from Stellenbosch and Somerset West. Great local markets, small shopping area with souvenirs, and beach town vibes. There are lots of beaches, hikes, things to do on the water in this area.
HORSEBACK RIDING
One of Dolci’s favorite things to do in South Africa is horseback riding on the beach, specifically at Pearly Beach Horse Trails .
Note: This one is a little further out of the way and would require access to a car or prearranged car service as calling an Uber from the area would be difficult. Located about an hour and a half from Hermanus. This one is unique in a few ways:
~3-4 hour ride to the beach with a break and back
includes photos and videos
one of the only beaches that allows riders to gallop on the beach.
the guide, Sarah, is fantastic with all levels of riders!

SPA DAY SPOIL
There are awesome, and affordable spas all over Cape Town and Stellenbosch.
Life Day Spa in the V&A water front was bookable the day before, and an hour massage was about $46-55 depending on the type.
For a thorough spoil, though a bit closer to cost of a spa day in the states, the Lanzrac Spa does amazing massages and facials ending with a glass of bubbles and a lounge on the deck over looking a vineyard after. — reservations are a must.
GOLFING
ERINVALE GOLF CLUB
One of the most prestigious golf courses in the world set in Andrew’s hometown of Somerset West with views of the Helderberg Mountain.
(For non-golfers, there’s Lourensford Estate just down the road if you want to stay close, but want to explore something else while a member of your party is here)
